China

Listening to Global Business on the player, Peter Day talking about China, it's quite interesting. What a culture shock it must be for the Chinese, new factories and everything. Although there are quite bad aspects of the global trade, I believe overall Chinese are now richer and have a better quaoity of life. Slowly they will learn to act against the Communist party - it's quite harrowing to listen to memories of China after the Cutural Revolution - how much of Chinese lifestyle was destroyed, I wonder. You would have thought that it would be the towns really got affected, not the countryside since it is harder to control widely distribured villages and farmers - on the other hand, forced relocation, moving towards towns and cities might have destroyed that.

I believe still sections of China are owned and ruled by Warlords and Chieftains, things don't change that quickly.
